Join Rebecca Krowelski of Prairie Sweetheart Honey to learn how she got her start into the world of beekeeping. She’ll share about the wondrous life of honeybees, their critical role in our ecosystem and what it takes to manage her apiary. She’ll also share about how honeybees communicate and work together as one superorganism. “Bees have so much to teach us about collaboration, communication, and resilience — and I’m thrilled to share these lessons with others.”

Prairie Sweetheart Honey is a small-scale urban apiary located on Treaty 1 territory in the Charleswood area of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Rebecca offers craft honey and other hive products for people who want to have a connection with the bees. She also helps new beekeepers build confidence in managing their colonies through her intern program and offers community education to schools, senior centres, clubs and farmers markets.
